CONSTRUCTION  ADVISORY FOR AIRPORT      

The Essex County Improvement Authority, in an effort to improve the facilities at the Essex County Airport will be undertaking a new construction project commencing August 2009.  The project will consist of developing the old 94th Bomb Group Lot into a new apron with approximately 40 additional tie-downs and one large size 9 Unit T-Hangar.  

Update: December 30th 2009 

The construction of the T-Hangar and new tie-down area are now complete.  Aircraft that were temporarily relocated can now put their aircraft back to their original tie-down spots.  We thank you for your patience and cooperation throughout the project.  If you have any questions or need assistance with your aircraft relocation you can contact operations at 973-227-4567
